			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><div class="activityDescription">Had a very worrisome weekend with sore legs from Friday and painful knees and a popping right knee on Saturday and Sunday. The knee still hurts/feels uncomfortable. That combined with the late night yesterday means i slept in late today and did not wake up for my early morning run. So woke up at around 9 and went to the office on my cycle instead. Was staying on low gear so that my knees wouldn&#8217;t feel stressed. That&#8217;s about it. Hope my knees are ok and i can resume running as normal as soon as possible.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>Good jog again today, Achilles tendon was on my mind when i went in and when i was done i was down with a sprained ankle. Nice steady pace as the previous jog through out and within the first 2 laps realized how important the breathing rhythm was. When i got it wrong i went into either oxygen deficiency or oxygen excess but when i got it just right i was effortlessly gliding along. Around the 15th lap my right inner knee joint started hurting but pushed through and now its fine. At the end of the run felt pain in my rear inner ankle and thought it was the Achilles tendon but the pain was localized in front and to the side of it. So applied some ice and hoping that its not a sprain, or not at least a severe one.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>Great run today, went in today with what appeared to be a strained Achilles tendon so went in apprehensive about that and about the shin splints from a couple of days ago. The most notable thing today was how effortless the jog was on my lungs, i tried out a 4:3 breathing pattern with big gulps and it worked like a charm, later it got morphed to 3:2:2:1 and then 2:2, but overall the only limiting factor for the run was the pain in my Achilles tendon. Started out at any easy pace unlike the other day and was able to maintain a steady pace right through the 20 laps around 1:25 &#8211; 1:30 per lap(only one lap cost 1:31). Exactly completed in 30 minutes. The Achilles tendon started acting up in the last 1/4th of the run but pushed through anyway, Later once i stopped running noticed it was really painful but after about 5 laps of cool down it had subsided to a tingle. Worried that the pain might be due to either shoes/Overpronation. Had a good pre-jog and post-jog stretch as well. Started holding each stretch position upto 20-30 seconds. Anyway pretty good day overall.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>Hmmmmm quite an eventful jog today. Set out to do a minimum of 18laps and a max of 20 laps if nothing catastrophic happened. Wanted to be on pace for 18 laps in 25 minutes. Started out and my first lap pace was around 9kph with a lap time of 1:01 2-3 laps in i realized this pace will burn me out and if i don&#8217;t do immediate damage control 18 laps is a dream, so slowed down to a decent pace and kept it up more or less until the catastrophe finally came. My right shin started hurting like a bitch around lap 15(My best last week). And got progressively worse until a point where i was thinking of quitting(Stress fractures in the second week was playing on my mind). But i pushed through, though my lap times became abysmal , i still went on with the jog. Finally at the end of the 18th lap, stopped and started my cool down walk, only to realize i was limping because of my shin. Stress fracture and injury was going through my head, but the cool down was great in about 5 laps of walking. The pain had subsided(to a niggle, but its still very much there.). Finished off with another 6 laps of walking and that along with my beginning warm up brought me to 33 laps jog+walk for the day for a total of 5km at an average pace of 5kmph.</p>

Came home and finished up with a 3km walk, worked up quite an appetite, must fill the void ciao.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>There is misconception among the health conscious that potatoes are bad for your health. The truth is that potatoes by themselves are not bad for you, in fact it contains healthy amounts of our daily requirement of nutrients. It is what people do to the potatoes that make them unhealthy(french fries, chips, &#8230;&#8230;.). In that spirit let us use the natural nutritional qualities of potatoes as much as possible by keeping our ability to make them unhealthy at bay and try to created a healthy dish of mashed potatoes.</p>
<p><b>Ingredients:</b></p>
<blockquote><p>- 2 medium to large potatoes(you can use more based on the number of servings)</p>
<p>- 1/3 cup of skimmed milk with 0.2% fat</p>
<p>- 1/4 cup buttermilk made from skimmed milk(This will be our butter substitute for flavoring)</p>
<p>- Salt</p></blockquote>
<p><b>Preperation:</b></p>
<blockquote><p>peel both the potatoes and vertically cut them in half so that the surface area of each potato half is maximized.  But them in a vessel or pot and cover them with water (1 inch above potatoes), add salt to the water. Now simmer at low flame for 30 to 40 minutes, you&#8217;ll know when they are done by poking them with a knife(it feels powdery and gives way). Drain the water and heat the vessel on high for 20seconds to get rid of the remaining water. Take a fork and mash(press and break them into powdery chunks) the potatoes within the vessel until you have some consistency in the size of the chunks. Add the milk, buttermilk, and salt to taste. whip the mixture for about 30 seconds until it has a creamy texture. And viola your done, healthy mashed potatoes, a nutritional and filling side dish to your chicken or veggies.</p></blockquote>
<p>Below is a video of how to prepare &#8220;mashed potatoes&#8221; just ignore the unhealthy ingredients like butter and you&#8217;ll be fine.</p>

Thought i&#8217;d do ten rounds around the colony but quickly realized that would mean 15km on my first day and immediately dismissed it from my head. Then thought of 5 rounds and finally settled on 4 as a modest reintroduction to cycling(Besides my back was hurting like a bitch (is something wrong with my posture i wonder. or is the backpack messing the form up?) ). In any case was done with the 4 rounds with half of each round being downhill and the other half uphill so one could say a flat track as they compensate each other. Anyway am thinking about rest days(overuse injuries weighing heavily on the mind). Decided to take saturday and sunday off instead of just sunday. BTW traffic on the circuit in the morning(walkers) is as bad traffic in the city at rush hour. Hehehehe must have given them something to ridicule about by riding opposite to the flow with my form fitting Adidas trainer tee. Anyway have fallen little behind on my daily quota of sleep for the last couple of days. Guess its time to catch up.</p>
